This time I will invite us to see Bull Fighting which is held every Friday starting at 5 pm except during the month of Ramadan. The location for the Bullfighting is about 4 km from Fujairah Airport, UAE. Held in Fujairah Corniche, it is one of the most popular events held in Fujairah The United Arab Emirates or often abbreviated as the UAE is a country consisting of seven emirates that are rich in oil. The seven emirates include Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al-Khaimah, Sharjah, and Umm Al-Qaiwain. Bullfighting has become a tradition and has been going on for 60 years, with the sole purpose of providing entertainment. Similar to bull wrestling but without the matador. The fight is only 3-4 minutes without any bloodshed and any bets. If it is too strong the bull is immediately separated, so that the bull is not injured. The rules of the game are simple: Participant: male bull. The bull that forces his opponent to retreat or run is declared the winner. If it doesn't back down, then it becomes interesting. Two bulls, each weighing hundreds of kilograms, attack each other while watchdogs hold ropes tied to their necks or legs for safety. There are about 10 supervisors from each bull, who will run to the center of the arena to separate them by pulling the bull with a rope. At first glance, it looks like a tug of war with hundreds of locals cheering them on. Previously male bulls were measured by breed, weight, and pedigree to control the bull's opponent during a fight. This fierce battle in Fujairah attracts large audiences from all over the UAE, and neighboring countries as well as tourists from Europe and Asia. About 200 men, women, and children gathered in the large field to watch, with children perched on the roofs of 4X4 vehicles and pick-up trucks. Sometimes the bulls run towards the audience, making them run away from the field. There are no cash prizes for matches in Fujairah as the law here does not allow betting. The victory increases the value of the bull and brings honor to its owner. Bulls are an investment, and their value will increase the more they win the game. The price of 1 bull reaches 250 thousand Dirhams (about 1 Million Rupiahs) to 1 Million Dirhams (about 4 Billion Rupiahs). #BullFighting #Fujairah #BukhariRice #MandiRice #AduBanteng
